USDC and USDT in a Merchant Payment Stack

USDC and USDT are the two most widely held dollar-pegged stablecoins, and they operate on multiple blockchain networks. USDC, issued by Circle, is available on Ethereum, Solana, Avalanche, Base, and several other chains. USDT, issued by Tether, circulates across an even broader set of networks. Both maintain a one-to-one dollar peg and are supported by the leading crypto wallets that customers use for payments, including MetaMask, Phantom, Trust Wallet, and Ledger.

27 Blockchain's stablecoin payment integration supports both USDC and USDT along with other dollar-pegged tokens such as DAI, and the merchant can configure which stablecoins the checkout accepts based on their preferences and their customers' wallet usage. Supporting multiple stablecoins across multiple chains expands the customer base that can pay, since different customers hold different tokens on different networks. The integration handles the multi-token, multi-chain complexity on the back end so the merchant's checkout remains straightforward.
